| Idea Whiz launched, 5MP camera, dual core processor among key specs | | | Idea Cellular has taken a break from Aurus releases to launch the Idea Whiz in India. Those interested in laying their hands on the phone will be glad to hear that the Idea Whiz price in India is a budget friendly Rs. 7,850 only. Also, with a sleek white or black chassis and a 4-inch screen across the front, it’s not bad looking at all for a device of its caliber.
The Idea Whiz is a very basic handset with some standard specifications you’d expect to find on a mid-range Android device. The touch display we’ve mentioned above is of the capacitive type and its delivers visuals in an 800 x 480p resolution. The phone has 3G capabilities which owners can make use of for faster data access as well as availing of video calls over the front VGA camera. Android Ice Cream Sandwich is the OS of choice here and the device gets its processing power from a 1GHz chip and 512MB of RAM. The memory squeezed onboard is 4GB, though only 1.5GB is user accessible. But it’s nothing to be disappointed about considering that the manufacturer has thrown in a microSD card slot which allows for up to 32GB expandability.
Apart from the front camera we touched on earlier, there’s also a 5MP main lens on the rear panel. But for those who were more impressed by the previously unleashed Aurus, the latest Aurus 2 is currently available for purchase.
