SAMBA, May 11 : To review the functioning of Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner Samba, R.K Varma today convened a meeting of Revenue Officers of District Samba.During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner reviewed the land acquisition cases pertaining to NHAI, PMGSY, Border Fencing and Army/BSF etc and enjoined upon the officers to expedite the Land Acquisition Cases to Complete these in a time bound manner. He impressed upon the Revenue Officers to remain accessible to general Public, especially the Patwaris in their respective halqas to redress the grievances of the people. He further stressed that the patwari should have their Patwar Khanas centrally located in their area of Jurisdiction and no Patwari should operate his office from outside his area of jurisdiction.The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned Revenue Officers to remain Vigilant against attempts of encroachment of government land, Kah-chrai land and other village common lands etc by the Land Mafia. The Revenue Officers were unequivocally told that the concerned officer will be personally responsible in whose jurisdiction the encroachment of government property takes place or inaction where the encroachment has taken place.
The Revenue Officers were directed to immediately asses the losses caused due to fire incidents and prepare the relief cases where reportedly the standing/harvested wheat crop has been damaged.The meeting among others was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Bikram Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, A.K.Khajuria, Tehsildar Samba, Vijaypur beside all Naib Tehsildars of District Samba. |
