SRINAGAR, May 11 : About 42.54 lakh Common Carp Fish Seed was produced and stocked during the last fiscal in various natural open water bodies and community ponds of the Valley to augment the fish stocks and to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people associated with fish farming for their livelihood.
Besides, 2.55 lakh exotic Carps including Grass and Silver Carp were also produced at the National Fish Seed Farm, Manasbal where artificial breading of the exotic Carps is also been carried out.
