| Announces Rs 5.3 Lakh development works | | |
KULGAM: Minister for Social Welfare, Ms Sakina Itoo today said that Government has taken a number of tangible steps for peace and prosperity of the people of the State along with prioritising a number of sectors including medical care, better road connectivity and other development projects. She was addressing a large public gathering at a far flung Village Brenail, in Kulgam.
Ms Sakina said that the Omar led Government is committed for equal development of the three regions of the State and is determined to fulfil all promises made with people in a phased manner.
Referring to the commitment of the Government for connecting every village to cities and towns with better road connectivity, she said in this direction a number of steps have already been taken by the Government and presently scores of new roads under PMGSY and other projects are under execution.
The Minister while touring the village issued several on the spot directions for redressal of grievances of the people.
On the occasion, the Minister out of her CD Fund announced Rs. 30 thousand for Gen Set, Computer Set and furnishing facility to Schools, Rs.3 lakhs for development of play field besides Rs.2 lakh for fencing of graveyard.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Jahangir Ahmed Mir, SP, Kulgam and other senior officers of the district. |
