JAMMU: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Sajad Ahmed Kichloo, on Tuesday inspected the progress on Rs.27 crore clinker grinding-cum-packing unit at Samba being installed by Jammu and Kashmir Cements Limited (JKCL), a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
The Minister took stock of the progress achieved, so far, in installation of the project and visited all sections of the plant. The Managing Director, JKCL, R K Razdan, informed the Minister that the plant will produce 300 tonnes of cement per day and will meet the requirement of government departments as well as private market in Jammu province.
The Minister enjoined upon the General Manager, Atul Sharma and Plant Engineer of JKCL to complete the project by July 2013. He expressed satisfaction over the progress on the project besides appreciating the quality work undertaken by JKCL.
The Minister was accompanied by Managing Director, J&K SICOP, Managing Director, JKI, Managing Director SIDCO and other district authorities.
