Increase Old age, Widow and Disability Pension :- Madan

R. S Pura: Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency appealed the State Government to enhance the benefit to marginalized Communities under various Social protection schemes. While addressing a largely attended Public meeting at Maralia R.S Pura , he demanded for increase in pension to old age, widows and differently abled people upto the Rs.1500/- . He asked the Government to add more State share and enhance pension of these vulnerable sections of society on the pattern of States like Haryana, Punjab and Goa. He quoted that in some States like Punjab and UP apart from the basic pension of Rs.1500/- @ Rs.450/- are given extra for all dependents to the beneficiary. Mr. Sharma said that this is the right of marginalized communities and Government should delivered as per the requirement and on time also. He also demanded for sanction of all pending cases in the State and appealed upon the State Social Welfare Department to float a special proposal to GOI for clearance of back log.
Mr. Sharma stressed upon the need to improve the road connectivity in Maralia and other villages of R.S Pura. He directed the Sectoral officers on the occasion to ensure the quality of works and proper implementation of centrally sponsored schemes. He informed that there is no dearth of money but what is lacking is the on ground implementation of schemes and need to propose the projects under various sectors like tourism, Agriculture, Irrigation etc. Flaying the BJP for blocking food security bill Mr. Sharma said the dream project of providing subsidy food to poor and marginalized will be implemented through an ordinance if the awkward opposition continues lokjam for meeting their vested interests. Earlier Mr. Sharma inaugurated lanes/drains at Maralia constructed under MP LADS Fund.
