| BMS extends support to University striking employees | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 8 : Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Jammu and Kashmir today extended its support to agitating Non Gazetted Employees Union University of Jammu who are on strike for the last 18 days demanding regularization of casual laborers and daily wagers. President of BMS , Karnail Chand strongly criticized the management of Jammu University for adopting anti employees attitude towards the genuine demands of non gazette employees who are working on different posts in the university of Jammu who are demanding regularization of casual labourers/ daily wagers who have completed seven years of services, removal of pay anomalies, risk allowance to ward boys/ cooks/ gardeners and security guards, washing allowance to all class IV employees and other demands like the post of daftries be created. Besides, establishment of convent school for the wards of employees of University, construction of housing colony and regularization of 16 class IV employees w.e.f. 2008. BMS urged the vice chancellor University of Jammu to intervene in the matter of employees demand and to hold talks with the employee representatives and resolve the genuine demands at the earliest. |
