| Ramzan Arrangements reviewed at Anantnag | | DC stressed for free availability of essential commodities, un-interrupted power-supply | |
ANANTNAG: In view of ensuing Ramzan the District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone today chaired a high-level meeting with all concerned District Officers to review the arrangements being put in during the holy month.
The DDC exhorted upon the officers to ensure availability of essentials besides intensifying market checking to curb black marketing, hoarding and profiteering in the markets.
He also stressed upon the municipal authority for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation around the mosques especially around the Holy Shrines of Khrim sirhama, Seer Hamdaan and Kabamarag.
DDC impressed upon the officers of PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply besides directed officers of CAPD for ensuring supply of essential commodities like rice, sugar, K. Oil, LPG displaying the list of quantity of these essentials for the information of the general public.
While taking stock of street lights respective municipal councils/committees were asked to maintain and repair the non functional street lights in the district.
Chief Medical Officers was asked to arrange medical teams for medicare facilities during the Holy month on special occasions. DDC stressed upon the PHE officers to ensure potable drinking water facility besides pressing water tankers into service where ever necessary. It was also stressed in the meeting that the hassle free traffic system should be ensured during the month.
The Deputy Registrar cooperatives Anantnag informed in the meeting that the department shall give a rebate of 3% on every item at super-bazaar besides Rs.3 per KG on poultry birds. Besides all District officers, SP, representatives of traders association of Anantnag and civil society members also attended the meeting.
