Kihtwar, July 9 : Sarthal Devi's Yatra is held annually on Harshudi Ashtimi and Navami according to the lunar calendar on the occasion of birth anniversary of the holy deity. This year the auspicious Yatra will be held from July 16-18. A meeting of the management council was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman Sarthal Devi Management Council, Kishtwar Thakur Jugal Bhandari to chalk out the programme and give final sketch to the arrangements made for Yatra. As per the statement issued by the Sarthal Devi Management on July 16 Hawan, Bhajan, Kirtan and other religious ceremonies will be performed at Shri Gori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot launching pad of theYatra. Shobha Yarta will start from Shri Gori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot Kishtwar around 2 PM after Puran Aahuti on the same day and then it will reach Bus Stand Kishtwar. The management has made arrangements for evening meals and lodging for night halt free of cost at Mandir Bhawan. On July 17 Chandi Hawan which will start three days earlier will conclud and in addition to this, Hawan, Bhajan-Kirtan will also be performed. On July 18 after Bhajan-Kirtan, Prasad will be served to all Yatries and thereafter the Yatra will start its journey back to Kishtwar. The management has extended a cordial invitation to all the devotees to participate in the Annual Yatra to get the blessings of Mata Sarthal Devi Ji.
