| Dir Handicrafts inspects Budgam, Ganderbal training centres | | | SRINAGAR : Director, Handicrafts Department, Ms. Salma Hameed inspected a number of training centres in Budgam and Ganderbal districts. She was accompanied by the Joint Director Handicrafts Kashmir and Assistant Directors of the respective districts. During the inspection, the Director assured the artisans all help from the Department.
Ms. Hameed interacted with the artisans and also visited various training centres in B.K. Pora, Chadoora, and Chrar-i-Sharief. She called for conducting handicraft exhibitions at tourist places in the district. She also instructed the officials to fast track the registration process for coverage of maximum number of unregistered artisans so that they can also get the benefit of Government schemes. |
