KULGAM, July 27 : District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Jahangir Ahmed Mir today chaired a meeting of officers at Mini Secretariat Kulgam for finalisation of arrangements forIndependence Day celebrations-2013.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner besides officers of security and para military forces, Principal Degree College Kulgam, district officers of all concerned departments attended the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that the main function of Independence Day will be held at District Headquarters Kulgam. It will start with Shanai Wadan followed by unfurling of tricolour by chief guest, who will also take salute on the march-past. J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and School Children will participate in the celebrations.
It was also given out in the meeting that similar type of functions will also be held at Tehsil levels, where concerned Tehsildars shall unfurl the tricolour. |
