Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 17: Whites Cricket Club (WCC) today registered a fine 41 runs win over Bihar in the league tie of the ongoing All India Cricket Championship at Jagadri in Punjab. Earlier, batting first, WCC set a target of 126 runs for eight in given 16 overs. Rahul Mussa and Rahul Koul were main contributors to the team's total with 29 and 25 runs respectively. From Bihar XI, Deepak claimed most of the four wickets, followed by Ashish, who took two wickets. In reply, Bihar XI could not maintain the required run rate and exhausted their quota of 16 overs for 84 runs losing nine wickets. Deepak and Subash remained top scorers with 24 and 20 runs in their respective accounts. Deepak Fotedar and Mayur Bhan were the most successful bowlers with three wickets each. Ricky Koul bagged two. Rahul Moosa was declared man of the match for his 20-ball 29 runs. Now, in the next league tie, WCC shall take on Delhi tomorrow. |
