Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 17: Violence and riots may have been controlled for now but Kishtwar things are far from being normal and anger may burst again if post violence order is not restored in a positive and constructive manner. According to reports, intelligence agencies have told district administration that polarization has seeped deep in the society and the minority community in the town, which had suffered extensive damage, is furious with the administration and also with the government.
The minorities have also been hurt by the remarks of outgoing MoS MLA Sajjad Kitchloo that people from right wing organization-Bajrang Dal- had planned to kill him by attacking him.
Though, union home secretary answering a question in this regard had said he haven't received any information in this regard.
"Minorities are deeply hurt by the role of Sajjad Kitchloo and also with this recent statement. District administration had been warned about it," said a senior official in the intelligence department.
According to report, the members of minority community, who have run out of the stock, since curfew hasn't been relaxed, are not even taking help from other community. The anger is likely to spill over the ground.
"We have been hit badly. It was a planned attack with the backing of Kithcloo to terrorise us and we have to do some thing on the ground to exert our presence, " said a member of minority community wishing not to be named.
It's for this reason that authorities are not taking any chance even after six day.
Union home secretary was also dispatched for the same reason. The Centre has also received inputs in this regard and has also not only warned the state government but has also hauled it up for not showing any laxity in the future with regard to the Kishtwar and in Jammu division.
A senior official said situation in Kishtwar is very grim and tense. The town has not seen such polarization in the past and administration has failed in bring in confidence among members of the minority.
"Kishtwar has seen clashes in the past but this time hatred among communities has gone long and deep and it's very troubling sign," said a senior official.
