JAMMU, Aug 17: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the annual inter-school district level competitions for under-19 boys and girls shall take place at different venues here from August 19.
To begin with hockey, basketball, swimming and tennis ball cricket, the competition in two other events of football (boys) and Handball shall take place from August 22. Earlier, the competitions were scheduled to be held from August 16 but postponed due to curfew in the city.
Now, the hockey (boys and girls) event shall take place at K K Hakhu Stadium while the tennis ball cricket competition is scheduled to be held at Government Higher Secondary School, Jammu Cantonment from August 19.
Mini Stadium, Parade shall be the venue for basketball, while swimming competition is hosted by KC Public School. The football event shall take place at GGM Science College while handball meet shall be held at Shartri Nagar play field, a handout issued here today informed. |
