| Chief PMG J&K inaugurates training progamme | | "Customer First" campaign by India Post | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 17: The Department of Posts has earmarked upon a major initiative to bring people closer to Post Offices and provide them customer friendly services by launching "Customer First" campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. Under the initiative a training program today inaugurated by the Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir John Samuel here at Jammu. During the campaign various activities are being carried out focusing on identification of potential customers, customer satisfaction and encouraging staff to know the relevance of customers and the today's training program is among the first of them. John Samuel, Chief Post Master General said "The purpose of the Customer Focus Program is to give a new mind-set to the Postal managers whereby the Customer first philosophy becomes the driving force. It has been exclusively designed for the postal Officers with specific applications to the Post Office. We want our people in the Post to join hands and build a customer oriented organization where the customer commands priority". He impressed upon the staff members to be polite while dealing with the customers and listen to them with patience. The Chief PMG said staff training program, organizing customers meet at each of the post offices will be among the different activities during the customer First campaign. Besides during the campaign postmasters will provide information brochures to the customers giving details of the services available at the Post Offices. John Samuel said that the business volumes of India Post in J&K has seen tremendous growth in the recent years the department is now focusing to strengthen its relations with its customers & the Campaign will prove a mile stone in this direction. |
