SAMBA, Aug 17: In view of the incessant rains, the water level has arisen in all rivers, nallahs, tributaries etc in district Samba.
Deputy commissioner (DC), Samba R.K Varma has appealed to general public not to stay near the banks of rivers, nallahs, tributaries etc and also not to allow the cattle to enter into the river/nallahs in view of heavy rains and flash floods and in case of further escalation in water level, advised them to shift at once to the safer places.
DDC further directed all the Block Dev Officers/Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildar/SDPOs/SHOS to get a general alert sounded in their respective areas through Panches/Sarpanches/VLWs/Lamberdars/Chowkidars/Anganwari Workers etc. and also monitor the situation round the clock. |
