Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Aug 19: All party delegation that is visiting Kishtwar to broker peace between the two communities has reportedly failed to break the dead lock with both the communities holding on to their stated positions. The delegation that held detailed parleys with both the communities is yet to arrive a compromise formula as the meeting was still on when the reports last came in. Reports suggest that both the communities have struck to the positions they held during the last meeting that was chaired by the Dy CM Tara Chand earlier. It is pertinent to mention here that the delegation is desperate to reach a compromise formula so that Curfew restrictions that have been imposed in the town for the last eleven days may be relaxed. Meanwhile administration in order to allow the participation of devotees in annual Machail yatra lifted curfew for two hours in areas like Shaheedi road, Kuleed, Matta and Sangrabata areas. Nearly 10000 yatris have already rushed to Gulabgarh for onward journey to Machail. District administration under tight security cover shifted the Chhari Mubarak of Machail Matta to Gulabgarh Padder for night halt. Beside police, army had made elaborated security arrangements from outskirt of Kishtwar town from Berwar up to Gulabgarh. While talking to "Early Times" DIG Doda-Kishtwar Ramban range Ashkoor Ahmed Wani said that the mastermind behind Eid violence, identified as Varinder Kumar son of Saroop Chand resident of Zelna Kishtwar has been arrested and booked. He said that 15 persons have been arrested so far in connection with Eid violence including separatist leader Molvi Abdul Qayoom Mattoo who had been booked under Public Safety Act. In another development, the representatives of the majority community who had been invited by the administration for meeting left the venue as the meeting of the delegation with minority community extended beyond the schedule time. They however said that they were ready to meet the delegation any time tomorrow. All party delegation comprises of Devender Singh Rana and Surjit Singh Slathia of National Conference, Janak Raj Gupta of Congress, Dr Nirmal Singh and Ashok Khajuria of BJP, Balwant Singh Mankotia of Panther Party, Sheikh Abdul Rehman of Samajwadi Party, Tulsi Dass Langeh of BSP, Thakur Randhir Singh of NCP and others.
