| TCI Cheetahs, Sachdeva Leapords win ties in JKCPL | | | Sports Reporter
SRINAGAR, Aug19: The TCI Cheetahs and Sachdeva Leapords won their respective matches to improve their standings in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL), here today.
In the first match of the day, TCI Cheetahs outplayed Cemtac by three wickets. Batting first, Cemtac bowled out for 91 runs in 19 overs. Huwaid Hamid played brilliant innings of 45 runs while Suhail Ahmed was other batsman to score in double figure with 14 in his account.
From TCI, Manik Gupta was most successful bowler with five for eight in 3.4 overs while Adil Mushtaq took two wickets.
In reply, TCI Cheetahs attained the goal making 94 runs for seven in 17.4 overs. P Nagi remained highest scorer with 27 runs while Manik contributed 17. Aamir Farooq and Imtiyaz Mala took two wickets each from Cemtac.
For his match winning innings, Manik Gupta was declared man of the match while maximum sixes title went to Huwaid Hamid of Cemtac.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Sachdeva Leapords trounced Saifico Lions by 25 runs. Earlier, batting first, Saifco made 167 for nine with Vimarsh Kaw being highest scorer, who contributed 54 runs. Asif Khan and Asif Rasool added valuable 37 and 34 runs respectively.
From, Safico Lions, Mehraj took three wickets while Suhail Andaleeb bagged two. Rohit Sharma and Sahil Balwal shared apiece each.
In reply, Saifco Lions could make 142 runs for nine to lose the match. Majid Bhat played fine innings of 52 runs, followed by Fayaz Hazari and Mehraj with 28 and 15 runs in their respective accounts.
From Sachdeva Leopards, Asif Rasool bagged three wickets and Mudassir clinched two. Asif Rasool was named man of the match. The maximum sixes award went to Vimarsh kaw. |
