Jammu, Aug 19: J&K Karate players won five medals in 9th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium New Delhi from 16th to 18th August 2013.
According to press release, Sahil Singh from K C public school won Gold medal in men's junior - 76 KG , Sumit Sharma from Sri Ranbir Higher Secondary won Silver in men's -54 kg wt category while Master Arindham under 12 years , Vishal Singh and Suraj Prakash in senior men's won Bronze Medals.
In the tournament Amit Kumar Sangra was also official referee from J&K. The team was led by Ambedkar Gupta style chief of J&K state for Shito-Ryu Seko Kai style of karate. |
