Bishnah, Aug 20: NSS unit of Government Degree College Bishnah organized a solo and group song competition during 'Sadbhawna' weeklong celebrations on the theme peace and harmony under the supervision of Prof Savtanter Kour, NSS Programme Officer.
Principal of the College Prof Kalpana Kesar was the chief guest on the occasion. The proceedings of the programme were initiated by Prof Kour. Sadbhawna pledge was administered by 100 NSS volunteers. Brahm Kumari, B K Sushma of Bishnah tied rakhies to Prof Kalpana Kesar and all NSS members. She delivered a lecture on peace and harmony by enchanting OM Shanti. Prof Kesar threw light on life of ex-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Solo songs were presented by Parveen Kumar, Prem Lata, Mangat Ram and group song was presented by Jasmeet Kour, Varsha Rani, Neha Devi, Shilpa Salgotra, Harmeet Kour, Pooja Devi & Monika Kaith. |
