KATHUA, Oct 15 : In order to prepare annual shelf of projects under MGNREGA for the year 2014-15, Gram Sabha meetings were held in three panchayats of village Janglote namely Janglote East, Janglote West and Janglote South under the chairmanship of Sarpanches Om Parkash Salaria, Raghunandan Singh and Ch Vijay Singh in which elected members of PRIs and local rural population participated.
In the Gram Sabha meeting of panchayat Janglote South BDO Kathua Dr. Anirudh Rai also participated and explained the detail charter of activities under taken by the rural development department through programmes like MGNREGA, NBA, IAY,13th Finance Commission, CD-Panchayat District Innovation Fund and other development schemes and appealed to the PRIs to bring more and more rural souls under the ambit of these schemes so that they can provided better amenities for raising their living standard. A threadbare discussion was also held regarding role of PRIs pertaining to funds, functions and functionaries in order to bring more accountability and transparency in functioning of the department. |
