| Paramedic students hold protest demonstration against shifting of centers | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 15: Dozens of paramedical students belong to different institutions of district Kathua today held massive protest demonstration against the shifting of their examinations centers to Jammu. Paramedic students assembled in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and staged protest in support of their demands. Amid sloganeering, these students alleged that the examination centers of their final exams have suddenly been shifted to Jammu which will pose major problems for the students.
The protesting students said that most of them belong to poor families and cannot afford to stay in Jammu for days together during exams while the girl students will also face a lot of hardships due to shifting of the exam centers. They accused the concerned authorities of pushing them into trouble and warned that if their exam centers were not be shifted back they will initiate a chain hunger strike.
Later a deputation of the protesting students visited the office of DC and submitted a memorandum in support of their demands. |
