| Villagers apprehend three suspects, hand them over to police | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Oct 15: The residents of nearby village Nanan of tehsil Kathua, handed over three suspects to Police after apprehending them from the village itself. The suspects are pretending themselves as merchants of honey who are basically from Kashmir. Villagers told Early Times that three persons boarded the matador coming towards the village. While the matador was on its way to village, the conductor asked them for destination and fare. But the suspected replied him that they will go upto the destination of matador. When matador reached Nanan the conductor told the villagers regarding the suspects. The moment the villagers heard of suspects, they stopped the three and inquired about the reason of coming to the odd side. On the contrary the three suspects could not satisfy the villagers and they handed over them to police. SHO Shivdev Singh said that the apprehended persons have been identified as Tariq Ahmed and Zakir Ahmed, both son of Ghulam Nabi Malik and Mohd. Ramzan Wani son of Ghulam Nabi Malik, all residents of village Rain Sugandh, district Anantnag. In initial inquiry, they said that they are related with the business of honey and presently they are performing it from Sarna village of Punjab. Moreover, the purpose of their visit to village was to search a good place for rearing honey bees, said SHO Singh adding that the matter is being investigated. |
