| Army organizes painting, quiz competitions at VVAPS | | | Et REPORt
RAJOURI, Oct 15: To boost the feeling of 'national integration and unity, among the school children, a field regiment of Infantry Brigade under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division today organized painting and quiz competitions at Valley View Army Public School (VVAPS).
R Singh, wife of Maj Gen VP singh , GOC Infantry Division, presided over the function while besides parents, civil dignitaries Brigadier SQ Ahmed, Station commander were also present in the function.
More than 300 students from various including schools from Rajouri city including National Public , Boys Higher secondary, Army Goodwill Public (AGP), Christ , Talim Ghar, Happy Home took part in both the competitions.
The students were grouped into three categories for painting competition i.e. class three to four, five to six and seven to eight. On the spot themes were given to students in different categories for painting.
The quiz competition, which was also grouped in three categories, was held simultaneously, aimed at encouraging students to keep them abreast with their surrounding as also about various facets of our country.
Prizes to winners in each category were distributed by R Singh at Valley View Army Public School (VVAPS) the venue of the competition. |
