| Bear mauls youth to death | | | Et Report
Jammu , Nov 14: A bear reportedly mauled a youth to death in Mahore of Reasi district when later had gone to nearby forest to collect firewood, police sources said.
As per reports, a bear today attacked a youth when he was collecting firewood in Mahore of Reasi district. "The deceased was identified as Mohammed Aslam (34) son of Yaqab Shah of Mahore, they said.
According to police Aslam had gone to forest in close vicinity of his residence to collect firewood when he was attacked by a bear and the beast left his prey critically injured when his family rushed to rescue Aslam on hearing his cries for help.
The victim was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment and after necessary treatment he was referred to GMC &Hospital Jammu. He, however, breathed his last here. His body, after the post mortem and other legal formalities, was handed over to the family members for performing last rites. |
