| Cop's fire triggers bitter verbal brawl between Bhat, Majeeed | | | Javaid Naikoo | 11/15/2013 11:09:02 AM |
| Srinagar, Nov 14: Following arrest of a Personal Security Officer in the incident of firing, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora Nizam-ud-Din today clarified that arrested cop is not his PSO and alleged that criminal history of Usman Majeed, former MLA Bandipora actually forces him to weave anything unethical against him from time to time. While denying all the reports about the arrest of a police personal namely Altaf Baba son of Muba Baba being his PSO, People’s Democratic Party senior member, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat said that arrested police personnel is a member of a team of policemen posted by authorities for his security cover and is not his PSO as has been wrongly reported and advertised by Usman Majeed of Congress. Nizam-ud-Din said that allegations of Usman Majeed against him are completely baseless as he was in Jammu since November 10 and reached Kashmir today only which can be verified from the security agencies, besides the matter of a cop arrested by police must be left to security agencies only to work on the issue and find out the truth behind the matter instead of making it an issue among the general public. "As the state government is now feeling that they had failed at all fronts over the years in Bandipora as in any other constituency of the state, people like Usman Majeed have already started feeling restlessness and out of frustration they can go to any extent of hatching conspiracy among the people against him, said Nizam-ud-din Bhat. According to Usman Majeed, two injured persons namely Mudasir Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Majeed Shah and Majeed Khan both residents of Panzigam of Barzulla area are his active party workers. He alleged that Nizam-ud-Din instead of fighting the political way against him out of chaos and commotion is using indirect but ruthless means like Altaf Baba with a weapon to kill him and his party workers like he allegedly did yesterday deliberately and injured his two party workers in broad day light. "May be Nizam-ud-Din might have been in Jammu himself but his PSO Altaf baba attacked my workers so he cannot deny the role by any means," said Usman Majeed. Pertinently as per reports, Police has arrested one PSO of Nizam-ud-Din Bhat for firing on two civilians in north Kashmir's Bandipora area and has charged him for opening fire on two civilians who were later shifted to SKIMS for treatment. |
