Asaram's aide held, sent on police remand for 3 days

Jammu, Nov 14: In a much hyped case of Bapu Asaram a self styled 'Godman' Jammu police today produced Bholanath an aide at Jammu Ashram produced in court after his arrest and got three days police remand. As per police sources the Nowabad Police apprehended the accused Bholanath of Jaipur a former caretaker of Jammu Ashram of Godman for conspiring to implicate Asaram by claiming that three children were buried in his ashram.
Sources said the former caretaker of Asaram Bapu's ashram here was arrested last late night for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to implicate the controversial godman in the alleged death of three children in his Jammu ashram whom he had claimed were later buried in the ashram land.
Pertinently when Godman was having tough times while facing charges of sexual abuse subsequently was arrested, Bholanath had claimed that some children (atleast three) were buried in Jammu Ashram situated at Bhagwatinagar Jammu.
Following this a social activist, Raj Kumar, had filed a criminal complaint in court saying that three children were murdered and buried inside Asaram's ashram as per the statement given by Bhola to a TV channel and court then had directed the concerned police to register a case and to start investigations.
During the probe, one Vikrant Sharma, also had filed a petition in court of CJM Jammu alleging Bholanath has hatched a conspiracy to tarnish Asaram's image. The complainant also had submitted an audio CD in the office of SSP Jammu and in the CJM court in which Bhola Nath was found hatching conspiracy against Aasa Ram.
Meanwhile taking cognizance of Court directions, the police booked Bhola Nath, a resident of Jaipur in Rajasthan, for conspiring to implicate Asaram by claiming that three children were buried in his ashram at Bhagwati Nagar here after being murdered on October 17 and a case against him has been registered under several sections against FIR number 168 at Nowabad Police Station under sections 120-B, 194/211, 295/295 A, 153A, 383, 195 of Ranbir Penal Code.
He was arrested by team headed SHO Nowabad Jaipaul Sharma and later produced before court after medical examination conducted by health experts. However police has sought a ten days police remand for questioning but court ordered three days police remand to the accused.
Police sources said questioning of accused is in progress at Nowabad Police Station to crack the conspiracy he hatched to malign the image of Asharam in one hand and to mislead the police on other hand.
"We have arrested Bhola Nath from a city area," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu, Atul Kumar Goel said, adding that he is being interrogated.
