Srinagar, Nov 14: Coming down heavily on the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah about his latest remarks about the power sector in the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said his (Omar's) amusing pronouncement does not reflect the actual ground realities which are altogether different. The party legislatures, Abdul Rehman Veeri, MLA Bijbehra; Sofi Abdul Gaffar, MLA Homeshalibugh; Syed Bashir Ahmad, MLA Rajpora; Javaid Mustaffa Mir, MLA Chadoora ; Nizamudin Bhat, MLA Bandipora ; Syed Basharat Bukhari, MLA Sangrama; Abdul Haq Khan, MLA Lolab; Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, MLA Shangus; Mohammad Ashraf Mir, MLC, said, though, the harsh wintry conditions are yet to start, the power situation has deteriorated considerably and besides paying hefty power bills, even in Srinagar people have to face pitiful power cuts for hours together. The situation is grimmer in the rural areas, where load shedding can go for 20 hours together in a day thus forcing people in to innumerable hardships.
