Government hospitals not meeting expectations of people: Rishi Kilam

Jammu, Nov 15 : Members of Education Scenario Transforming Education into Reality (ESTEIR) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Rishi Kilam a prominent social and political activist wherein grievances from common people were received regarding the sorry state of affairs in government hospitals in Jammu province. According to press release, Kilam said that the government hospitals were not providing even basic facilities to the visitors. "Often the patients get depressed and helpless when they are not being attended or heard or ill- treated. The patients come for treatment but get ill-treatment at the hands of concerned people. If a patient is referred for ultrasound or other medical tests they are being asked to come on some other day or to get the required tests done from outside the hospital" said Kilam. He further said that the condition of hospitals in Jammu province toilets, Labs, Wards they were not hygienic and worth using. "The health minister should ascertain the facts on spot and get the complaints and grievances of people addressed" Kilam said.
