JWAM demands clean, uninterrupted water supply

Jammu, Nov 14: The residents of the west assembly constituency Jammu, has expressed serious resentment against the PHE department and has alleged total failure and collapse in the last two months of the Jammu PHE city devision. There is a huge leakage, lakhs of gallons litters of the drinking water wasted on all the main roads of the New Plot, Janipur, Lakad Mandi, Talli Morh, Sarwal, Rehari, Subash Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Resham Ghar, Krishna Nagar, Talab Tillo localities facing the acute sacristy of the drinking water.
People do not get drinking water as water supplies are badly affected, the drinking water tariffs has increased multi times and the service to the people is worst by the PHE Departments officers. No timing of water and no body bothering the leakages and the water wastage. This was alleged by Sunil dimple president JWAM
Talking to media persons after visiting various localities, Sunil demanded the chief minister Omar Abdullah and the new PHE minister Sham Lal Sharma to hold the inquiry of the working of the officers of the PHE department from XEns to lower level officers of the Jammu city. Sunil Dimple alleged the most contaminated water is being supplied to the people, residents of the Jammu city and the West Assembly Constituency. Sunil said the inspite of bringing the problems again and again in the notice of PHE Minister for the last two months about the leakages and acute sacristy of the drinking water, supplies remain affected badly for days together as there are no timing of the water supply and no action is taken by the PHE officers. Dimple said the Govt has spent Crores of rupees on the advertisements and have installed big hoardings with the photos of the concerned ministers making tall claims of the performances and that the 14 Nov is being celebrated to provide safe drinking water, make them aware about personal hygiene, clean water supply, save water day, slogans, spending the huge public money. Dimple demanded that "totally free of cost" drinking water should be provided to the people of the state as our state has rich sources of the water. Sunil Dimple demanded from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the River Tawi is not meeting the requirements of the people of the Jammu city so the work on the supply of water from " River Chenab project" from Akhnoor to Jammu city should be started.
