JAMMU, Nov 15 : J&K seems in trouble after losing their first wicket for 14 runs to trail by 262 runs in their second innings against formidable Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy group-C tie underway at HPCA Stadium, Dharmsala in Himachal Pradesh today. As per the reports reaching here, Ian Dev was the first man to return to the pavilion in their second innings without opening his account after J&K changed the batting order and kept young Shubham, who has not been able to perform as an opener, in the middle. When the stumps were drawn, Adil Rishi and Manik Gupta were at the crease with 12 and one run in their respective accounts. VS Malik took Ian Dev's wicket. Earlier, resuming their innings from overnight score of 92 for one, Himachal rose to the occasion and played confident cricket to set a big total of 454 runs in 117 overs.
Ram Dayal was most successful bowler with four for 97 in 34 overs while Samiullah Beigh took three for 108 runs in 30 overs. Earlier, in their first innings, J&K bowled out for 178 runs on the opening day of the play yesterday.
