| Co-operative Week observed in Kathua | | | Early Times Reports
kathua, Nov 15: Cooperative Week is being celebrated by Kathua Marketing Cooperative Society to mark the birth anniversary of Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru.
The celebration was inaugurated by Ex-Minister Babu Singh by hoisting the flag of cooperative in the presence of large number of people along with the Chairman of the Kathua Marketing Cooperative Society Karan Singh.
Addressing the gathering, the Babu Singh said the cooperative week is celebrated every year throughout the nation on the eve of birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who he said has given new direction to cooperative movement making it popular and vibrant.
Underlining the need to launch membership drives, Babu said maximum participation of people would give new lease of life to the movement. He stressed the need to strengthen it so that new avenues of employment opportunities are created for unemployed educated youth. |
