rajouri, Nov 15: The 'Children's Day' was celebrated with great fervor at the Govt Higher Secondary School Kandi, Tehsil -Kotranka, which was conducted by Samote based Rashtriya Rifles Unit in conjunction with civil administration.
Children participated in this celebration with great ardor. The event included a cultural programme prepared and presented by students of school in the school play ground. The event afforded a glimpse of the local cultural heritage and also provided a platform for these children to showcase their talent.
A number of students spoke about Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, giving us vital information about his life, his achievements and extreme fondness for children. His journey towards becoming the architect of modern and independent India was explained in detail thereby encouraging the general populace towards emulating the same.
At the end, the chief guest congratulated all the participants for a splendid show and also distributed prizes to all encouraging them to continue their endeavor in the same stead. |
