| Gandhi Global Family celebrates Children's Day | | | Early Times Reports
bhaderwah, Nov 15: Gandhi Global Family unit Bhaderwah today celebrated Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday at the party office in which all members participated under the chairmanship of ts president Mukhtiar Ahmed Mir.
The workers paid homage to Nehru's statue and distributed sweets among each other to mark Nehru's birthday. Speaking on the occasion, tehsil president Mukhtiar Ahmed Mir extended his heartfelt greetings to all participants on the occasion of Children's Day.
He highlighted the contribution of Nehru in laying a strong and secular foundation of an independent India.Mir described Nehru as a great visionary and urged the students to inculcate in them the qualities of love and politeness.
The Gandhi Global Family members and workers later organised an assembly later in the day and pledged to follow Nehru's ideals in life.
The programmes were also attended by children from nearby localities. Those who spoke on the occasion included Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed Ahmed, Sureel Singh Uttam, Zuber Alam, Sardar Mohd, Shaid Hussain Batt, Laqyiar Ali Sheikh, Jangir Ahmed and others. |
