Azad visits residences of Kishtwar communal riots victims
Pays obeisance at shrines of 17th century Sufi, saints

Kishtwar, Nov 15: Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today visited the residence of two Kishtwar communal riots victims and expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of life in August 9 Kishtwar communal violence.
Azad before heading for Bhunzwah as per schedule visited the house of Arvind Raj Baghat and Bashir Ahmed Moochi of Sangrabata Kishtwar. During his visit to the homes of victims, the family members of the deceased put forth their views before Union Minister and demanded justice for the family members who lost their lives in communal violence.
Earlier Azad also visited the shrines of 17th century Sufi saints Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) and Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) and prayed for the peace and tranquility of Kishtwar and state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Both the shrines are considered as symbol of communal harmony and brotherhood as people from both the communities pays obeisance at both the shrines every day.
Azad in a public rally at Bhunzwah Kishtwar assured Degree College and a sports stadium to be constructed in Bhunzwah area with the help of financial assistance from centre. He also announced 10 bedded hospital with sanctioned staff of three doctors including one post of female gynecologist.
He said that by the end of 2014, entire Bhunzwah area will be electrified. He also assured funds for construction of 5 km long water rivulet which will provide water for irrigation purpose in Bhunzwah area.
He said that he will take up the matter of construction of water rivulet with PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma and directed the concern department to prepare DPR of the said rivulet. He said that union government provides funds to various projects in state including for construction of roads under PMGSY. He said that he will write a letter to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister with regard to special recruitment of youth from Bhunzwah area in police department as was announced by him as a Chief Minister of the state. He later also inaugurated a hospital building at Gandow. MP Lal Singh, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammed Saroori, officials of District administration, police, local sarpanches also participated in Azad's function.
