| House wall collapses; one dies, two injured | | | Udhampur, Dec 7: One laborer was killed while two others received injuries when the protection wall of a house collapsed at Sambal Dangha in Udhampur district Saturday morning. The deceased has been iden ified as Papu Ram (50) son of Anant Ram wwhile identity of the injured have been established as Bittu Kumar (40) son of Amar Nath, Shiv Kumar (22) son of Papu Ram all resident of village Rount in Sambal Danga. As per reports, five laborers were working in the street adjoining the house of Nawaz Sharif of Sambal Dangha near DC residence Udhampur and suddenly a protection wall of the house collapsed resulting three of the labourers buried under the debris. After getting the information, police team led by Inspector Deepak Jasrotia, SHO Udhampur immediately reached the spot and started retrieved the labourers from the debris.
The three injured were immediately shifted to the District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Papu as brought dead while the condition of the injured was stated to be stable when last reports poured in. Police have taken cognizance in this regard. |
