It is going to be very difficult for the Chief Minister. While addressing a press conference here today Choudhary Nazakat Khatana, State President, Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body produced documentary evidence to prove that Rajinder Singh Chouhan, believed to be a resident of Himachal Pradesh was operating a nexus to grab state land. Khatana alleged that Rajinder Singh Chouhan is a resident of Himachal Pradesh and at present he is residing in Doda Basti Belicharana having no state subject against Article 370 in X shed on the state land. Khatana, further said that this man has hired a gang consisting of seven members namely Koushal Kumar Sharma, Kamla Devi, Anil Kumar, Pappu, a government employee, Kakis and Antu Kotwal. He alleged that this gang has sold the state land up to seventy lakh rupees and the encroachment and construction is in progress till now. Further, he alleged that the nexus between the seven people is that strong that till now, three police in charge have been transferred in a period of two month. "An FIR with number 130/13 dated 2.08.2013 also stand registered against the gang at Police Station Satwari and against the lady namely Antu Kotwal another FIR was lodged about a month ago at Satwari Police Station under section RPC 153 with FIR number 134. Khatana further maintained that through public delegation of Belicharana, the matter was taken up with the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, a copy of which is in possession of Early Times for action against the gang and it was directed by the Deputy Commissioner through Tehsildar Jammu, Naib Tehsildar Satwari, In Charge Police Post Belicharana to visit the spot jointly and stop the construction on the stand land or otherwise in violation of the law. Khatana said the gang, for a short period remained silent, but at present the grabbing and selling of state land is going on unchecked against which he (Khatana) demanded action against the violators. |
