Jammu, Dec 7: An Induction Training programme for newly appointed Civil Judges (Junior Division)/Munsiffs of 2013 batch was organized by the State Judicial Academy (SJA) today in its lawns at Jammu. As many as 38 newly appointed Civil Judges (Junior Division) were formally inducted in the training course. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Justice R.M. Lodha, Judge, Supreme Court of India. Justice T.S. Thakur, Judge, Supreme Court of India was Guest of Honour on the occasion. Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar, Chairman, Committee Incharge, J&K SJA, in his address traced down the history of establishment of the State Judicial Academy and paid tributes to the visionaries who contributed in nourishing and developing the same. He advised the young judges to imbibe in themselves the judicial culture and adhere to the set norms of the judicial system. Keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Virender Kumar, Advisor to the State Judicial Academy by a power point presentation in which he deliberated in detail upon the necessity and module of judicial training. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice M.M. Kumar emphasized upon the young officers to be the master of the files pending adjudication before them. He stressed that the judicial officers should have eye on each and every file so that he can avoid unnecessary adjournments and is able to deliver the justice in a time bound manner. The programme concluded with the recitation of National Anthem by the students of School for Visually Impaired, Roop Nagar, Jammu. |
