Jammu, Dec 22: Employees of All Jammu and Kashmir State Pensioners Association today protested against the government under the leadership of Mukand Lal Sharma and Madan Lal Abrol, General Secretary in view of the anti working class Policies of the State Government. The Pensioners of the Association discussed the problems of the State Pensioners. Madan Lal Abrol, General Secretary, while speaking on the occasion said that the Association of the Jammu and Kashmir has 2, 20, 000, 00 pensioners in the state in order to voice their grievances and seek redressal through civilized dignified and democratic means almost the entire community constitute the General sunk of citizen. He, through the press statement said the government has enhanced the medical allowance of the legislature from Rs. 300 to 1000 whereas it is neglecting the pensioners since long. "The arrears of the Six Pay commission, the 3rd installment which was due to the pensioners in the month of July has not been disbursed", he said. Abrol reiterated that DA which is due with effect from July @10% has not released yet. Release of 6% D.A, arrears from Jan 2009 to June 2009 be paid at an earliest. The Association demanded that 50% D.A be merged with the basic pension.
