Jammu, Dec 22: Police arrested two brothers for allegedly raping a minor girl inside the mini bus in Chinore area on city outskirts, last late night. Police identified the arrested as Sudesh Kumar and his brother Joginder Kumar, both residents of Keran. Police further said that the complainant, a resident of Bantalab reported the police that she was going to school when the duo kidnapped her and raped her inside the mini bus on the intervening night of December 19 and 20. After rapping the minor, the duo took her in a house and kept the victim hostage. After the complaint of victim, police got conducted the medical examination of the victim. In-charge police post Chinore, SI Rattan Singh Rana said "Both the accused have been arrested under section 363 (abduction) of RPC while the section 376 (rape) of RPC will be included after medical opinion". Earlier, the matter about the missing of the girl was reported by her mother following which swift action was taken and both the accused persons were arrested on specific inputs and the girl was released, he further said added. |
