Passing of Lokpal vindicates Congress stand against Corruption: Soz

Srinagar, Dec 22 : The state Congress chief Prof. Saif-ud-din Soz today said that Congress had shown it's vigor by getting Lokpal Bill passed in both houses of the Parliament and it is a signal that the Party was going to fight corruption tooth and nail and people, especially Congress Party, should welcome this legal measure and fight the corrupt system. According to the statement issued here today, Soz while addressing the public rally said that there was relief in his heart and mind that through out the state, Congress Party Workers were enthusiastic to protect the interests of the party and work hard to realize the goals set by the party for promotion of Congress Party in all the three regions of the State. The statement reads further that Soz explained threadbare his perception of the duty that Congress Workers can perform and enjoy being in politics, and that is Identifying people's problems and fighting for the resolution of these problems. Prof. Soz emphasized that he often feels sad that there are many problems with which people are confronted and these problems can be resolved ; but these didn't get resolved due to apathy of the system. It is here that Congress Party Leaders can show the nerve to remain steadfast with the people and help them to solve their problems. Prof. Soz responded to the issues and problems that had been explained in the Memorandum that was presented to him and he assured the people that the oncerned Minister would be directed to visit these areas soon and sit with the Local Leaders to solve these problems. Those who accompanied Prof. Soz included Bashir Ahmad Magrey MLC, Vice President, Farooq Andrabi, Senior Leader, Anayatullah Rather District President Kulgam, Hilal Shah District General Secretary DCC Anantnag.
