KATHUA/VIJAYPUR, Dec 22: Rejecting clean chit to Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo given by Retired Justice R C Gandhi, the Kathua unit of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) today staged a protest demonstration at Kalibari, Kathua. Shouting slogans against the government, the scores of BJP workers, holding placards, sat on protest dharna and blocked the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway for half an hour resulting in a traffic jam. District president BJP Kathua, Vijay Sharma while speaking on the occasion strongly condemned clean chit given to National Conference MLA Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo in connection with the Kishtwar communal riots by the Justice R.C. Gandhi Commission of Inquiry. The BJP leader further accused the retired judge of the Jammu and High Court of being "in league with the Omar Abdullah government" and they called the "NC-Gandhi nexus". They alleged that Kichloo, who had resigned on moral grounds after the Kishtwar communal riots of August 9, was being inducted back as a minister for "political reasons". Meanwhile, to express its anger and resentment against the re-induction of Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo into Council of Ministers, Bhartya Janta Party (BJP) Vijaypur unit today staged a protest at main chowk Vijaypur under the leadership of state senior vice president Chander Prakash Ganga.
