JAMMU, Dec 30: It will be all J&K Bank affair in the final when the seniors from the Bank's professional side shall take on the young men of the financial institution, training at two Academies set-up at the capital cities of the state, in the final of the 2nd Christmas Soccer Championship at GGM Science College ground, here tomorrow afternoon. The final, scheduled for 2 pm at the same venue shall be followed by the valedictory function of the championship, organised by Christian Sports Organisation under the banner of J&K Football Association (JKFA). Earlier, in the first semifinal, J&K Bank trounced Mussa Club by four goals to one. All the four goals, including hat trick, came through Prem Kumar, who netted the ball in 17th, 26th, 42nd and 79th minute of the match. From Mussa Club, Vishal scored the lone goal in 75th minute. Meanwhile, in other semifinal, J&K Bank Academy stunned the professional side of J&K Power Development Corporation (JKPDC) beating latter by one goal. The only goal of the match came through Ravi in the 65th minute. Earlier, PDC fired on all cylinders to level the score, but all their attempts were foiled by the strong defence line of the young Bank side. Today's semifinal officiated by the technical penal including Rakesh Kumar, Moon Stephen, Vijay, Rinku Gill, Hilal Ahmed and Amit Sotra. |
