| Simula Club, Haryana Police sails into next round | | | | KATHUA, Dec 30: Simula Club Jammu and Haryana Police won their respective matches to sail into the next round of the ongoing 4th Police Martyrs' Memorial North Zone Twenty20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today. In the first match of the day, Simula Club trounced Harbhajan Cricket Academy Jalandhar by 11 runs. Batting first, after winning the toss, Simula Club set a target of 157 runs for the loss of seven wickets, which, in reply, Harbhajan Academy could not chase and bowled out for 146 runs. Puneet of winning Simula team was declared man of the match for his inning of 42 runs off just 14 balls. Earlier, after wining the toss and batting first, SMS Club made 110 runs losing eight wickets. In reply, Haryana Police chased the total in 15.3 overs with seven wickets intact. Tegi of Haryana Police was adjudged man of the match for his all round performance of 31 runs and one wicket and presented Rs 1500 cash reward by the organisers. |
