| NSS team conducts vote-registration campaign at village Chack Ram Chand | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 30: As a part of ongoing seven days camp, NSS unit of Government Degree College Kathua, today conducted a door to door campaign for registering the adult youths in the voter list at the village Chack Ram Chand.
The volunteers visited each and every home of the village and enquired about the persons who are eligible but not entered in the voter list till date. The youth, entering the age of eighteen plus were identified and requested to gather at upper primary school Girwa Chack with the required formalities.
The committee of NSS volunteers verified the requisite formalities and filled the voter forms in all respects. These forms will be further submitted to the election authority of Disstt Kathua.
More than 100 voter forms have been filled and almost same number of person were guided for registration as voter in the voter list. The Panch of the Girwa Chack Madan Lal also actively participated in the campaign. Thereafter a lecture on power of vote in the formation of right form of government was organized to aware the people about the value of their votes in the election process.
The programme was organized under the guidance of NSS programme officers Prof Raj Kiran, Dr. Suram Singh and Dr.Ram Singh. |
