Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 30: All selected jail warden candidates in prison department today took out a protest march to highlight their long pending demand of releasing the final selection list. The protesters were shouting anti-government slogans and some were seen with placards in hands with slogans written on them including 'Selected Jail Warden candidates' ki list release karo' hame nayaye chahiye (We want justice). The candidates took out the rally towards civil secretariat where they were stopped by police. Addressing the gathering selected candidate Ashwani Kumar said that about 43000 unemployed youth had applied for the post among which only 1246 candidates were short-listed for the interview, which was held in the month of September 2010. The protesting candidates urged the Chief Minister to personally intervene in the matter and redress their demand at the earliest.
