| Secy AICC Haque exhorts to bring united face of Congress | | |  early times report
Kathua, Dec 30: Secretary AICC Mainul Haque addressed a gathering at Kathua exhorted the party workers to strengthen the party at grass root levels. A large number of political activists from across Kathua joined the Congress in presence of senior party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary AICC Mainul Haque who also is I/C J&K affairs in his address hit out at political parties for creating wrong impression about the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir. He also criticized lobbying within the party and urged the party workers and senior leadership to avoid any resistance or defiance from any quarter to keep the party intact and united.
Girdhari Lal Chalotra, former MLA constituency Hiranagar who organized the meet on Sunday, in his address lambasted the communal forces which are using and following the policy of "divide and rule" to gain an upper edge for their vested political interests. He however said, "People are wise enough and now have gone through the designs of communal forces that are disastrous for the national unity and integration. He also appealed to all the congress workers and public be vigilant from the nefarious designs of some political parties who are defaming the Congress. A large number of political activists from across Kathua joined the Congress in presence of national leader.
Pankaj Dogra, Sohan Lal, Nirdosh Sharma, Mohan Singh Hari Singh, and members of Mahila Wing of Congress were also present.
