| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 12 rescued | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: Kana Chak police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 bovines.
Police spokesman said that on specific information party led by SI Rakesh, Station House Officer (SHO) Kanachak police raised a naka at Simbali wala and intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK02AG-6587.
Spokesman further said that during search of the vehicle team recovered 12 bovine animals which were being illegally transported from Jammu to Poonch.
He further said that the driver of the said vehicle managed to escape from the spot.
In this connection, a case under FIR No. 2/14 under section 188 of RPC was registered and investigation is going on. |
