EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 7: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan, Jammu, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, organized a six days painting workshop at Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu from 6th to 11th January. Thirty children from different institutions in the age group of six to sixteen years are participating in this workshop. The workshop was jointly inaugurated by N. D. Jamwal, veteran painter, Sculptor and Writer, R S Jasrotia, Judge and Suhail Kazmi, Senior Journalist, General Secretary, Press Club, Jammu in presence of Nabin Kumar Naik, Zonal Director, NYKS, J&K Zone. While giving the details about the event, Naik said that the objective of this workshop is to give platform to the children to explore the potential of new generation. He said that the workshop will conclude on 11th January, 2014 with the distribution of certificates of participation to the participants. A painting competition will also organized on that day. Jang S. Verman, a well known artist of the state will work as facilitator during the workshop to enable them pour out their talent and skills in a sound manner of expression and technique. |
