Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: Elected National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Jammu University President, Nitin Bakshi reposing faith in Indian democracy promised that through a vision, he will change the political scenario of the state politics.
He said he has a broad vision for the development of Education as well as Political System of the state. Bakshi is pursuing the degree of LLB from Jammu University and was recently elected as President NSUI unit of Jammu University.
Students reposed faith in his vision for the state and helped him winning by casting votes in his favour.
Bakshi thanked all the students for their votes and promised that he will be ready for their help whenever needed. He also asked students of the varsity to call him anytime on Cell No. 9419861487.
Taking a jibe at the University authorities, he criticized varsity authorities and said that they are playing with the career of hundreds of students every year through their outmoded policies and want of development in the varsity like other universities of the country.
Bakshi also added that University authorities are not ready for the forthcoming event of science congress to be held in the month of February as according to him, the blacktopping of the roads and tilling of pathways faded up with a single shower of rain on last day of previous year. He also smelled a close nexus of varsity authorities with contractor for siphoning of funds out of the money sanctioned for the conduct of science congress and attacked Vice-Chancellor as well as new Dean Students Welfare Pankaj Srivastava for ignoring the interests of students.
"For the last many years, the University authorities have not invited the revised tenders for the canteens owing to which the system is witnessing a monopoly", he said.
